hate the noise from fireworks (they get scared), and some LOVE them. We'll also be with my parents, and my dad can get grumpy, and needs to sit a lot. My DH also loves good beer.
Then I would say Rose & Crown is perfect for you. Ask for a table inside. We ate there in 2005 and when Illuminations was about to start the staff had no problem with us going out to the terrace to watch the show and then coming in later to finish our meal. Hopefully your Dad will stay inside with the kids while you and your DH get to watch from the terrace. Lots of little kids were watching from inside (looking out the window) so they were somewhat sheltered from the noise. Enjoy!
If the noise of the fireworks is upsetting to some of the children just be aware you can hear the noise throughout the park (in fact, you can hear it at our house, which is about 4 miles away, when the wind is right!). Not sure if that matters, but I wanted to give you a quick heads up if it does.
My dd2 is really scared of fireworks...We stayed at BC and dh left early to take her back to the room (you could still hear them). Once he rode It's a Small World three times straight until Wishes was over...they just let him keep going around and around..
