Do DLR & DCA have rope drop ceremonies like WDW, or is Mickey's Morning Toontown Madness it?

When I have gone in the summer and other busy times, I have never seen a rope drop. I have always gone when the hours are 8-midnight. I have heard people mention it so they must do it during less busy times. I don't think it is a ceremony though. At least I never heard anyone refer to it that way.

At the Hollywood Pictures Backlot rope in California Adventure, the Tower of Terror cast members came out and told a few jokes. It wasn't much of a ceremony, but it was entertaining.

At DL last Thursday, they let you in part way on Main Street and then they played some music and said basically Welcome to Disneyland, please walk, don't run, have fun, and then let everyone stream into the rest of the park at 9 a.m. (that's what time it opened that particular day).

No they don't have a rope drop ceremony as in WDW. Basically, they hold a rope, there may be countdown, and tehn they roll it up. There ins't a train full of full of disney charcters singing, or faux movie shoot set up as per DHS.

I really enjoyed those aspects of WDW, but you won;t find them at DL.

I haven't made it early in the AM to DL for years. But about 10 years ago I was there at rope drop. Main Street was open at least 30 minutes prior. Chip & Dale and Mickey came out, an announcement came over the PA system and the rope was dropped.
