Hi! I'm toying with the idea of rope dropping Animal Kingdom for FOP on an EMH day (8am) and then heading over to Hollywood Studios. I suppose I would Uber/Lyft to get there fastest? Anyone try this? Is it easy enough to leave the park when everyone is streaming in? Realistically what time do you think I'd get to HS?? Thanks!

Haven't tried it. It would really depend on getting to AK early enough to be upfront in line. That means there by 7:30 at the latest. Otherwise, FoP could have a long line by the time you get there.
If you goal is to get to HS by rope drop, I think that would be pushing it. Uber/Lyft would be the best option. I doubt there would be too many buses running park to park yet, so that could be quite a wait to get a bus to HS.
If you don't have to wait too long for FoP, I would think you could be at HS about 9:15-9:30. It also depends on how easy it is to get Uber that early.

We RD AK for FoP back in August when demand was higher, we ended up coming back later that night and getting on closer to closing during evening EMH. We were too late to effectively RD, (needed to be there about 3 hours early) :confused3. Now a days, from what I'm reading on here, I think you only need to be at RD about 1 hour to 1.5 hours early to cruise into FoP. Even a later arrival will only be a 15-30 min wait which is worth it IMO. A morning EMH day will be more crowded so you will need to adjust for that. But as far as leaving AK via uber, that's not hard at all, we did that and we were fine. I would say you need at least 20 min to get out of AK and grab an uber at the taxi lot and then add your drive time to DHS, 10-15 min, say 30-45 min total travel time with traffic if you don't wait to long on uber/lyft.

I've read trip reports of people doing AK AM EMH and leaving the park right before 9 and heading over to their next park. Or people doing MK EMM and leaving around 9ish for another park. It seemed to work well for them.

In June they have AK opening at 8 am everyday. I am not sure if everyday is EMH hours or if it ie open to public. Also with every day so early what does this mean for rope drop? Will it be easier?

We did AK a couple years ago like this (before FOP). We rode EE a few times, the safari once, stopped at Starbucks, and headed to MK. We didn't make it to MK by rope drop (and we weren't trying), but it was easy. We were surprised we really only waited about 5 minutes for a bus to MK also. We were in MK before 10.

I would absolutely be at AK at 0700-0715, NO LATER!
That should put you as one of the first to go in. FOP is WILDLY POPULAR, with good reason. We rope dropped a 7am EMH in March and were there incredibly early and it was crowded...
You should be in and out by 8:45 IF you are at the early part of the line. Set a pre ride pick up for 8:50 - 8:55 am for Uber, and you should be good to go. Or just drop the pin for AK pick up as you're leaving FOP.
Good luck, let us know how it went!

No, it will not be easier...
