Rope Drop

I am always at the rope drop at opening at the MK. The last time I was there was 4 years ago and the rope was dropped at the hub of the park. Now I hear that the rope drop is at the front entrance. Is that true? Does everyone all at once run like crazy to the attractions they want to get on first?

Last Monday the rope drop was at the front gates. There was an opening ceremony with characters and cast members using the railway as a stage. When the rope dropped it was every family for themselves!

We made straight for the railway and hopped up to adventure land, where we rode Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain Railroad within the span of 1/2 an hour!

Everyone on the board had talked about going to the parks early.... and it's really true. You can accomplish a lot in the first hour.
