Rope Drop

Ok, so I'm going this Thursday(6/14) to try and ride Nemo. What time do they let people onto Main Street. No matter how many times I've been to Disneyland I've never made it to the rope drop. I told my friend we need to get there super early. I want to get there by 8am or is that too late? The park opens at 9am. Does Thursday have EE hours? Thanks

Thursday has EE so the Nemo line will probably be long already by the time you get in.

This is correct (unless some event like a grad night changes this). I would assume a non-EE visitor should avoid Nemo the mornings of EE....period. Sorry.

Wow this just sucks. My friend still wants to go though. I'm trying to see if she'll want to go on Friday instead.

Just an FYI -- I just called the park and there will be no EE this Thursday due to grad night!! woo hoo They are moving it to Wednesday. I hope everyone got that memo. :cool1:

I would start a new thread (advising the DISers of this). This is HUGE information for travelers who are planners. (I'd do it myself, but you spoke to them & you'd get the attaboys. :) )

I always miss rope drop too but not this time, we are gonna be there and were not going to miss it.

Keep in mind then since there will be no EE that there will be a lot of people that were there early thinking there was EE- so 8:00am may not be early enough. They will start letting people into the park at 8:30 and the rope will drop at 9:00. On non-EE days we can get there 1 hour early and make it to any ride we want. This is also during the off-season though.

We always get there for rope drop. They usually let people in onto Main Street about 30 minutes (give or take) before official park opening. I was always a little sad that they don't allow running at the rope drop. I understand that it's for safety reasons. But one of my best DL memories was running to Star Tours at the rope drop with my parents and my four sisters and brother!
