Rope Drop with Stroller

We have a trip coming up in mid-June and I'm thinking through our plans. We have kids ... Youngest will be 2.5 and so we'll have a stroller. But we don't want to use the stroller at rope drop. So some questions regarding that ....

Is there a place to park the stroller on main street/the Hub before rope drop? I can put my 2 year old on my back in the Ergo. We'd do our first few attractions in Fantasyland without the stroller and pick it up mid-morning when we move on to other lands.

What's the best route to Alice at RD? Through the castle? Or the path past Matterhorn?

I haven't thought through our RD for DCA yet so may come back with similar questions.

Why can't you take the stroller when you rope drop? I'd be much faster with my kid in a stroller than carrying them and the stroller parking for Alice is right at the attraction pretty much.

Regardless of that, you can park your stroller anywhere you want, in the stroller parking areas. There are plenty around main street and the hub. I suggest getting an airtag or similar to pop into it as CM's sometimes move them around and you can go back for it and find it has been moved and have no idea where it has gone.

I find going thru the castle at rope drop faster for Alice than Matterhorn as less people go to fantasyland first, they hit the mountains, so you'll be with all the people wanting to go to Matterhorn if you go that way.

Thanks for the response. My husband just hates the stroller and would happily do without it but with a 2 year old that isn't really an option. I'm probably overthinking it.

Thanks for the route advice as well.

There really isn’t a whole lot of stroller parking on Main Street. Take the stroller with you for rope drop. When the rope drops, walk through the castle and turn to the right and park it right next to the castle near Peter Pan. There will likely already be a cast member helping park strollers. Walk to Alice from there. If you’re set on parking the stroller before rope drop, the best place to park it would be outside of Plaza Inn.

I have a 3.5 year old and have been with her in a stroller 3 times and we usually do Dumbo first. There is stroller parking right outside Dumbo so one adult just grabs the kid out of the stroller when we get to Dumbo and heads to get in line while the other one gets the stroller situated (brakes on, grab anything we need etc.) and then joins the rest in line. We leave the stroller at Dumbo while we do the rest of Fantasyland and usually end up back at Red Rose Tavern for a snack of tater tots before leaving Fantasyland so the location of the stroller at Dumbo is perfect for that.
