Rope Drop Transportation

Not really, the bus takes a long time to get to the other parks, it may leave earlier but it will get to the parks later, you may be behind some who walk, momorail, etc, drive and get there earlier then you, but it was never bad. We got on pandora pretty quick. And I still think the new bus from MK is way faster then the boat. We did eight park days in november and got to all of them about an hour before opening.

Here was epcott, pick of back of heads were where were were in the pack from the front. Pics of front faces are the people behind us. This was where they held you untill park open with early entry. This was the side to hit frozen or test track. We basicly, walked fast, and frozen was a walk on, then hit mexico ride, first ones on when it opened, test track then over to soring. So, its definitly faster. Check out my trip report. 20211108_092102.jpg20211108_092107.jpg

Hello all! First time at the Fort, and wondering about transportation to two places for rope drop.

1. Is taking a boat early to Contemporary and walking to MK the best way to make rope drop?

2. What is the quickest way to get from the Fort to the International Gateway Entrance of Epcot?

Thanks!
Brian
Take the boat straight from the Fort to MK. Skip stopping at CR and walking.

I would go to Hollywood and take the gondolas. Remember the Gateway entrance opens a couple hours after the main entrance though.

Going to piggy back on this - how long do the internal buses take at Fort Wilderness? We will be staying at a full-hookup site (not preferred or premium) and won't have a vehicle to drive. Any info on what time we should be leaving our site (ish) to take the internal bus (or walk) to the boat or external bus stop if we want to "rope drop"/be there for early entry?
Assuming we will be in loop 1600, 1700, 1800, 1900, or 2100

Just be aware that rope drops are more crowded than ever because of the Genie and LL. I am sure you may already be aware of this. We never rope drop in the past and just used our fast passes but rope drop was the way we went our last two trips that had been scheduled for months. NOT FUN FOR US but it was either that or have plans messed up for dining and other things the whole day because we had to be up and on phone at 7:00. My significant others says he is done with WDW. I will still go but then I do not do all the rides he so loves.

Thank you for the input. Yeah, i'm aware its going to be absurdly busy, but without G+ and ILL i'm not sure there is a better solution beyond arriving first thing in the am. Were choosing not to add on Genie or lightning lane, and am aware we will ride fewer rides, etc, etc.
Were going in mid-september so arriving first thing in the am is our plan to avoid the heat/humidity of the afternoon.

I gave an MK response earlier in this thread. I would say for the other parks (although we normally drive to them) to be at your internal bus stop by 640am. The buses start their day by coming in along the Wilderness Lodge road so their first run is up towards the Outpost Bus Depot.

I'd say internal buses at the Fort run every 10-15 minutes in each direction but they start running generally 630am-645am. You prolly need to be on the first 2-3 internal buses of the morning to make rope drops.
