Rope Drop question

So I searched the forums and found some answers. But I still have a question about Rope Drop. Where is the first place you go when you want to do rope drop in DL and also DCA? I see people on social media say there are staging areas before you enter the Esplanade part of the parks. But they never mention where. So if I am coming from a hotel south of the parks where would be the best place to have an uber/lyft/shuttle drop off?

There's a dedicated rideshare drop off right near the entrance off Harbor Blvd. You will walk towards Security. After you pass through Security, you can choose to line up at DCA or DL outside the gates until they're ready to scan people into the parks.

Awesome thank you so much. Once you said "rideshare drop off" I finally found what everyone was talking about on a map. I just couldn't figure that part of it out. Just needed the words to describe what I was looking for to figure out the rest. Thanks again. Awesome...
