Rope Drop MK from TTC

Staying offsite with a vehicle. What time should we arrive at TTC to rope drop MK? Our plan is to watch the castle show and then head to Jungle Cruise, so were not rushing to a popular ride. We also have a toddler who will want to walk.

7:50-8:15.

On a day that MK opens at 9AM, Main Street will open to all guests at 8AM.
And...
It's always better to plan on arriving early, as there can be many "unknowns" that can delay your plans
farther than you think.

At WDW, it is better to arrive far too early than it is to arrive one minute too late!

Load to unload budget 25-30 minutes. The actual ride is less than 10.

Generally, it can take 20-35 minutes, in general.
That's because time-of-day when arriving and overall guest level can affect WHERE YOU PARK, and therefore, the time it takes to get from your car to the ferry dock... and the number of guests
waiting for the ferry (which can be affected by a possible monorail delay) can change the timing enormously.

How to solve this "unknown factor..."

Arrive earlier.

Expect at least 30 minutes from your car to the tapstiles.

I always walk to the Poly and grab the resort monorail there. The crowd to load is not as bad so it feels faster (and we can stop for a Tonga Toast on Cook's - yum!)

This is actually our plan for our second MK day (right down to the Tonga Toast). Not rope dropping that one so not as much of a rush.
