Rope Drop in DCA

My daughter is absolutely obsessed with Grizzly Rapids and our first visit resulted in a 3 hour wait because I had yet to learn about the FP. Where is the best place to stand to be closer to GRapids when the ropes drop? Keep in mind we only know of the entrance directly across from the Disneyland gates.

With World of Color, Toy Story Midway Mania, and last but certainly not least, the opening of the new Little Mermaid ride, Grizzly River is the last thing people are rushing to get to at rope drop! In fact, the WOC fastpass machines ARE the GRR fastpass machines, and I'm not sure if there is always at least one machine spitting out GRR FP's or if they don't switch over to dispensing GRR FP's until a little later one (does anyone know?).

You're allowed into DCA at 9:30 when it "officially opens" at 10:00, so go in and head past Soarin' to line up near GCH's rope, but again, I can't stress enough that the people lining up there will be doing so to get WOC FP's and go to TSMM (does Ariel have a different rope drop, or will that always be there?) You will have NO problem getting on GRR in the morning
