Which do you recommend? Also if I have a reservation for MK can I park hop to anther park after 2 and then return to. MK later for extra magic hours. Thank you all

Hello. I suggest you rope drop both. ( Hopefully your staying on property and get the extra 30min). As for HS, they been letting people in at 7:45. So we got ther the other day at 7:15 and wer on and off ROR by 8:06. As for AK, we got there yesterday at 7:28 and were on and off FOP, by 8:10.I believe rope dropping is necessary to make the most of your time and money. Yes, after 2 you can Hop around to an as many times as you like.

Finally a post for me.

With or Without Lightning Lane if the crowds are high: Otherwise, follow nicky nick's tips.

OK ELT, to AK first,You may want to go to Navi first as a walk on , then dino, then safari, everest, rapids, then Lion King. If Avatar is a must do, 90% are doing it a rope drop so if you are dropping and are at the back, just go to river first because by the time you get off, you will still be at the end of the line, the line doesn't grow until 8pm when the crowds from non-disney hotels check in . The best time to board Avatar. Test Track and Star Wars Rise is five minutes before the non hotel crowds come in because you have already knocked out a ride or two.

If you go to HS first, everything will be a long wait after your first ride (except Alien swing and old Star Wars) and you will have a lot of down time waiting.

If you use LL, go to AK first as well, tis better to use LL at HS by stacking for after 2pm because at 9:30 all of the rides are well over 45 minutes.

With LL, stack your MK passes, they will start at 2 even thought the wait times are for the morning due to your park reservation.

After 2pm, you can hop anywhere as many times as you want...you can just go from park to park all afternoon and night and just scan the band. Sounds like a YOUTUBE challenge for someone.

Is this an AK or HS for rope drop or are you asking whether to RD both?

If your plan is to RD one and hop to the other, I would buy G+ and ILL$, RD AK and stack G+ for the afternoon/evening at HS.

If you want to know whether to RD both, then I would recommend it at both parks. RD gets you at least one attraction with a low wait and also puts you ahead of guests who have a leisurely morning before heading to the parks.

If you can only RD one of them and you plan to visit both on the same day, my choice would be to RD HS, park hop to AK, and return to HS for the later evening hours.

HS has a lot of headliner attractions that get long wait times by mid-morning, which stay long throughout the day and may lighten up in the last 2-3 hours at the park. RD at HS may enable you to get in 2-3 attractions before the wait times grow insane. Around 10-10:30 am, several shows begin, so if wait times for your preferred rides become ridiculous, you can still enjoy a couple good shows before park hopping. Arriving at 2 pm to HS, it's hard to accomplish much until the evening.

By contrast, AK's wait times often get a lot shorter by the time you'd park hop, as it seems that more people park hop away from AK than to AK. So, when parking hopping to AK in the afternoon, check the wait times and do anything with a reasonable wait, including one of the shows. Watch for opportunities to get in a short line. If you're going at a time of year when it gets dark fairly early, stay just until dusk to see Pandora glowing after dark. It's stunningly beautiful. Then, assuming HS is staying open later, return to HS to take advantage of shorter wait times in the last 2-3 hours of the evening.

If you plan to buy ILL$ for Flight of Passage and/or Rise of the Resistance, that would ensure you get to do both of those with a short wait. Genie+ is quite helpful in HS, especially if you're not going during a relatively quieter time at the parks. With G+, you could get in more headliners at HS, including stacking some for the evening. You could also G+ Kilimanjaro Safari and Nav'i River at AK.
