We have an early ADR so we will be in the park already. We want to heave over to splash mountain, big thunder mountain railroad, etc not the mine train.

Whats the process of getting over there now since they walk everyone down main street when MK first opens. Can we just leave our ADR and head over to the area we want to go to?

It depends on if you leave your meal before or after the park opens. If the park is not open, they won't allow you past basically the hub, before the park is open they are not ready for guests so the will keep you out of those sections.

Once the park is open you are free to go where ever you want. Your ticket is already scanned in so you are all set.

I would say that if rope drop is at 9am we will be done eating (out the door) at 8:50.

What is the hub? is that the area around the castle, merry go round area? so we just have to wait in that area until they open up the ropes?

We are eating at the crystal palace... and want to go to splash mountain first

The hub is the area in front of the castle.

At 8:50 you might be asked (not heard of it happening to anyone, but I could see it happening) for you to head back down main street to the gate. For something like Splash I would just wait till 9:01 (for a 9a opening) to exit.

The point of the walk out is the same as DHS use to do. Just to make the mass of people move at a reasonable walking pace instead of trampling each other getting to the FP machines for TSM. Or in this case 7DMT. I don't think they are worried about 5-6 people getting there early.

I'd wait till the park is open and then head out of CP cross the bridges toward liberty square and then to splash.
