Rope Drop at AK

I will be in AK on June 25. I have a FoP FP+ for 8:00-9:00 AM. My plan is to rope drop NRJ and then use my FP+ for FoP. Ideally, I want to be done with NRJ and be at FoP by 8:30 AM, which means I'll have to be near the front of the RD crowd, even though most will going to FoP. Just wondering how early I need to be at park entrance to make sure that happens. TIA.

I was there last week, and I would definitely recommend an hour and a half before park opens. It's crazy how huge the crowds were even that early. We arrived 90 minutes before open and we rope dropped Navi and Flight of Passage (seperate days) and were off of each within 20 minutes of official park opening. (They opened Pandora about 15 minutes before scheduled park opening each day.) Good luck!
