Anyone done this? I've been reading about where ppl have rooted their phone and love the results, removes bloatware by freezing it (not totally removing), battery time is much better, etc....Really considering doing it on my Samsung Fascinate, but, don't want to ruin my phone - how hard is it do???

I have no idea what you're talkin' about. :rotfl:

Not too hard. My Droid 2 can be rooted by connecting it to my iMac and then following some directions, I believe. What you end up with is essentially a terminal screen for the phone's computer (I assume it runs Android). Much like the old PCs MS-DOS window where you enter commands by typing them.

Good luck.

My Dh rooted his old one and turned it into an Android phone. Could have been the actual phone itself but he had multiple problems with it. Even after he switched it back to normal, which is why I think it was the phone.
He wanted to root his new phone as well but hasn't yet...wait and see.
Good Luck!!
