Hi

I am looking for a room with bunk beds to fit two older children (early teens) I am hoping to try and get a family of 4 all in the same room is possible.

Thanks in advance

Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the Cabins at Ft. Wilderness all have rooms with bunk beds.

For another option, some rooms at Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk Inn, Contemporary, Grand Floridian and Polynesian have 2 queens and a day bed.

WL & AKL have bunk bed rooms as a bookable category, so you'll be guaranteed to get one. The rooms with the day beds aren't guaranteed.

Does anyone know what age bunk beds are acceptable up to? As in is there a limit or in theory could an adult stay in one? Thanks

I am an adult and I have slept in the lower bunk bed at FW. I am 5'8" and it was a little short for me but I managed okay. I would say you are only limited by height as to whether an adult will be comfortable.

Keep in mind that you can also have a rollaway bed brought into some of the regular rooms.

Also, while there's no age limit for the bunks, I am fairly certain there is a suggested weight limit. They're not exactly the longest beds, either.

I stayed with 2 friends in a bunk bed room last month. My friend who booked it claimed the top bunk, I was in the bottom bunk. I'm only 5'2", it was ok for me. It worked out well because no one had to share a bed.

Are bunk beds my only option other than getting a villa to be able to fit effectively 4 adults with the need for three different beds? Or are there alternatives? Thanks soo much for all your help

FW cabins feature one separate bedroom with a full bed and twin bunk beds, as well as a pull down Murphy bed in the living room. You also get a full kitchen and bath and an outside deck with a grill. We loved the privacy of the cabins.

Nope -- AoA has suites with 3 beds -- the queen in the bedroom, a pull out sofa & the murphy bed in the dining area. As a plus it also has 2 full baths :)

ASM suites offer the same set up, I believe.

Many of the deluxes have two queens and a daybed in their standard rooms. The daybed is roughly twin-sized, so it should be comfortable for most adults.

You'll find the daybeds in GF, Poly, CR, YC, BC and BWI.

Bunk beds are a bookable category at WL and AKL unless you book CL. BBs are available for CL, but would only be a request. Also, you would be guaranteed a daybed at the Poly and CR as all rooms at both resorts come with one, as do most rooms at the GF (with the exception of a couple). A daybed at the BC/YC would be a request as not all rooms come with one. I think most rooms at BWI have a daybed, but we've never stayed there so I don't know for sure.

I agree.
