Rooms still available for the 4th

I called ms around 3 today and got a studio for tomorrow at Old Key West. I'm shocked. Infact, I had my choice of resorts. SS, AK, or OKW. Shocked. DH is thrilled he won't have to battle I-4 after the fireworks.

I've been checking online for rooms available with an AP rate and even as of today there were rooms available at almost every resort at an AP rate. Can't get DH to take off for the holiday - you know how dedicated policemen are

We thought about just paying cash, but went ahead and used points instead
(27 for the one night). Not having to drive home tired and fight the traffic is well worth it. Sprinkle some pixie dust our way that our room is ready early. We've been really lucky the past three trips and were able to check in before noon. MS even let us add the quick service dining plan even though we were past the booking window.

Great time! Our room was ready at 11:50 and was spotless. We couldn't have asked for a better 4th.

Good for you!! I was waiting to hear how you made out. Sometimes those unplanned events turn out to be the best
