:wave2: Hello again everyone!
When we go to DLP in March we are booked into a Montana Room at Sequoia Lodge but I can't find out much information about what will be in the room itself, so here goes:

We know the basics that they'll be 2 double beds and a mini-fridge because of it being a Montana room but what else will there be in the room?
i.e. when the kids go to sleep they will be sleeping 1 in each of the double beds are there any chairs etc for us adults to use until we want to go to bed?
Is it right that there is no kettle provided?
Do we need an adapter for the sockets?
What is there in the way of toiletries/towels/hairdryer etc? Or are we better off taking all our own? (I'm trying to keep the weight of bags down, as I know we'll come back with a lot more than we took)
Does the bathroom have a bath and shower or just 1 of them?

Any extra info would be very helpful! TY! :thumbsup2

Hi,

We stayed in a Montana room in August. It had a smallish (2-3 feet across) round table with 2 dining room style chairs - ie wooden frame with a cushioned bit to sit on. Not an armchair, but comfy enough.

Don't recall seeing a kettle - but we wouldn't have used it ourselves, so I might be mistaken.

You will need a 3 pin to 2 pin adapter for the sockets. You plug your 3 pin plug into it, then it has 2 pins coming out which then plug into the wall. The voltage is the same as UK near enough. I did see them for sale in the SL shop.

Towels, soap, bath gel are provided. Don't think there were flannels or shampoo. You stand in the bath to use the shower which comes from the bath taps.

I think I've read elsewhere that hairdryers are available from reception?

There is also a mini bar which has chocolate and alcohol.

Regards

Tosty.

Have you checked out the virtual visit of the room on DLRP ?
http://www.disneylandparis.com/uk/virtual_visit/sql.htm

Montana Room means you're in the main building as opposed to the lodges.
You'll have table and 2 chairs TV, that's hidden in the large cabinet on the virtual visit and storage space for clothes. The mini bar has drinks and chocolate bars in it but be warned it is very expensive. There are safety deposit boxes for guests use in reception

You will need an adaptor for the sockets.
There isn't a kettle provided but you can hire one for a minimal cost at the hotel.
You will have soap provided "Everybody neat and pretty ? Then on with the show !", sorry, I love that and small bottles of bubble bath and last time we had shampoo as well, we didn't have shampoo in Cheyenne or Santa Fe though. No hairdryer but again you can hire them. Towels are provided (not for pool use). Bathroom has a bath with shower over it.

Mousekeeping go into your room every day to replenish toiletries, make beds, etc.

and lastly you're right you will come back with a lot more, last time I had to go and buy another holdall to bring it all back. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Thanks everyone!
All the extra info is really great!
I can't access the virtual visit because I don't have the right program on my ancient computer so hopefully I'll be able to see it on a different computer sometime soon.

Does the mousekeeping mean we'll have to get the kids to tidy their toys off the beds every morning?
I would prefer them not to be messing with our stuff if its been left out. Or would they just leave beds if things had been left on them?
I haven't stayed in a 'proper' hotel before so not sure of the routine.
Normally we do self catering holidays, much less formal. But hey this is Disney - we wanted to have the whole experience by being in a hotel on site.

Hmmm I always tidy up the room anyway before we leave it - daft I know, can't help myself.
They would probably move toys to make the bed. If you really don't want them going in the room, I've read recently on another forum that you can request not to have housekeeping.
Myself I'd miss the chocolate coins plus I can't make the bed as neatly as they do. :)

They will probably lift any items while they make the bed and then put it back on top. If you don't want your room disturbed you can always put the do not disturbed sign up. Although you'll not get sheets changed nor replacement towels. Not that is necessarily a bad thing :)

Hiya. We visited DLP at the beginning of Sept and also stayed in Sequoia Lodge, although not in a MOntana Room - just a normal standard room. You can ask for a hairdryer and a kettle when you check-in or even phone housekeeping when you get to the room - that's what we did and they brought it round pretty quick! There's no charge for those items.

We tried to tidy the room as much as possible in the mornings but we did leave the toys on the bed (just to see what they would do... lol) and they just lifted the toys off to make the beds and they put everything back on the bed again after that. If you don't want them to make the beds, perhaps just put a sign on the bed or something.

You can get pretty cheap adapters from Boots/Superdrug... or anywhere else really.

The shower gel provided was an "all-over" thingy - you can use it for your hair as well ... and you get given a new (tiny) bottle & bar of soap everyday. Well, we did, so should be a standard thing all over. Ohhhh and the shower is fab - power shower!

Sounds like tidying before we go out for the day will be a necessity, although if it doesn't work out for us we can always change our minds when we're there.
The idea of having someone come into what is (for a few days) our space when we're not there just seems wierd. I guess its just the difference in type of accomodation LOL! I've got several months to get used to it ;)

Thanks all for the help! :)

I stayed in a Montana room as well and the best thing is, that its ver easy to go fo the room to the breakfast room... you don't have to go outside... Enjoy your stay at Sequoia Lodge and make sure that you go to the pool one day, it's really nice...

:) Thanks!
Not having to go outside in March to get our breakfast was the key decision in choosing the Montana room. Because of the prices we don't plan on using the mini-bar.

One other Q about Sequoia Lodge :)

Can anyone let me know more about the pool?
Can we hire pool towels or do we need to take our own?
What are the pool opening hours likely to be in March?

TY!

Okay, this isn't really the same, but last November the Newport Bay pool was open from 7 am to 10 pm!!!

Towels are provided - no need for you to fill up your suitcase with them :)

You can hire towels . I think they were 2€ each

Although the pool itself was good I wasn't overly impressed by the changing area.It was very small for the size of the hotel and our DD fell coming out of the shower on a piece of the floor without rubber matting. So I am probably biased against it now ! We went in September last year and I think it was open either 7am -7pm or 8am - 8pm.
We were in a lodge and our table and chair were in the corner so you'd have to turn the tv to see it . We ended up going to bed at the same time as DD instead All that walking and excitement makes you tired ! :rotfl:
