Do they have rooms for 5 people at any of the hotels?

Even if not, do you have any tips on how/when to find the best discounts for end of April 2012?

Thanks! :goodvibes

All of the standard rooms sleep 5. They all have 2 queen beds and you can order a cot for $25 or bring your own air mattress. There are some rooms with a pullout couch or pullout chair. RPR has no pullouts.

Your best bet is to call to see what the best deals are. April is not a good month for deals, lol.

Oh that's great! I will definately try to find a room with pull out then! That would be 2 beds AND a pull out? Great!

I recall it was worth becoming AAA members for a room discount last time plus it gave us dining discounts too. If anyone has any other tips, I would appreciate it. I'm surprised April wouldn't have discounts 2 weeks after Easter. Is it going to be busy at that time?

there are some pull outs/ sofa bed types at hrh.
that would be the queen deluxe rooms.

also some pull out sofas at pbh.

when you make your ressie, be sure to state you need a room with a pull out sofa/bed.

it really would be cheaper to bring an air mattress for the 5th person.
star service will bring you bedding for making it more comfortable.
pillows, sheets, blankets, etc.

deluxe rooms are at a higher rate.
it might be more economical to consider that.

or, take a standard room and add a roll away bed for $25 per night.

op, you have 6 listed in your siggie.
are all of you going on this planned trip?

you would have to get 2 rooms if all 6 did come.

the dd 0 makes me wonder if you are pregnant or have a little.
i assumed a little but i have been known to be wrong at times..........

AAA = absolutely worth it, IMHO. Room and restaurant discounts, plus shopping discounts at select stores. Room discounts can be significant, depending on number of days you're staying.

You also are protected for a year from large towing bills, roadside assistance (dead battery issues, flat tires) - the cost of one of those events alone could be more than the membership.

And you can use the card at many places for discounts (Banana Republic, Dell, GAP, Kohl's, NAPA - all sorts of places). I travel occasionally for my company and book rooms at Hampton Inns using AAA discounts (10% off). You would have access to the AAA trip planning services, financial services, discount insurance programs - it's a long list.

No, I don't work for AAA, but I believe it is of high value if you use it properly. This past year we had two tows and a battery jump, plus an issue with our car's door lock (unlocking doors is another service), and all were covered by AAA.

Definitely worth checking out.

The little one will be 11 months at the time of the trip. I don't want to get flamed (on here or in the afterlife :rotfl:) but I just wasn't going to mention the baby to them. She sleeps between us in bed and can't ride any rides (no need for Express Pass), so I don't want to have to get a second room ($250+/night just because of her. :guilty:

We are looking at putting up with being squished together at RPR but getting club level versus the deluxe room at HRH which would have more room and the pull out couch.

You are not going to get flamed, but what you are going to do is wrong. It's against fire code and should nit be done.

like Bluer stated, it is against the hotel policies to have 6 in the room.
club staff will be aware there are 6 of you if you all go to the lounge.

it is possible that you could get a suite at pbh where you can have 6 in the room.

Just as a note, everyone has to have a room key for early entry. They won't let you through the gates to the park if each person in the party doesn't have a key.

Check to see if they will let you have a 2 queen portofino suite at the PBH with 6 people. We have heard of a few people who have booked those suites, but none reported after they returned, so we can't be sure that more than 5 are actually allowed. The nice thing about the suites at the PBH is that you get two bathrooms.

I didn't think about the key for early entry. Even a baby who doesn't need a ticket, needs a key for early entry huh?

We'll look into the aforementioned suite at PBH, but "suite" sounds cost prohibitive.

I'm not trying to take advantage of the hotel. The baby won't require a crib, eat any food if we do club level, or use FOTL or anything. It just a pain to split into 2 rooms and it costs soooo much more. I fully realize when the baby is over 2 we won't have any choice, and it looks like we don't have any real choice now.

just like damo said, yes, the child would need the hotel room key for early entrance.
you don't have to purchase a ticket for the child but you (all in your party) would need the hotel key for using the express lines or early entry.

this has nothing to do about the child not needing a crib or to have the snacks at the club level room. 5 per room is the limit. for king suites, only 3 people allowed.
it is due to the city code for fire ordinance.

if you stay at pbh at a suite, don't make it club so you can save money if that is an issue.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, I get it.

Unfortunately there is nothing available at PBH. I guess we're just doing 2 regular rooms at RPR. Do they at least have connecting rooms?

Not sure about RPR but when we book our two rooms at HRH with the AAA discount the connecting rooms are guaranteed. You would still make out good if you join AAA since you can get a room discount, ticket discount, food discounts, and store discounts.
