We are currently at BWV with Boardwalk view on 4th floor. However, when we get off the elevators, the only option is to head straight ahead to Bwalk or pool & garden view. You cannot go down the wing to the right that includes the standard rooms......there is a door blocking that hallway and sign says being refurbished. That's a whole heck of a lot of rooms out of service........especially during food and wine. We have not looked at any other floors here.

Has your room been refurbed? I have a boardwalk view for early December.

Just saw on another thread posted by someone that just got there last night that ALL BW view rooms are completed.

Glad you got your Boardwalk view. We were bumped to pool view last month because of the refurbishment.

The Boardwalk view room on the 4th floor was refurbished. But now we have moved to a standard view studio for the remainder of our trip......it's 3rd floor and not refurbished. Also have family here in a 1 bedroom on the 3rd floor and it has not been refurbed yet,

Darn, we are there next month also in a standard 1 bedroom. Oh well, I have stayed in some pretty poor conditioned rooms at BWV (including a GV) so hopefully it won't be worse than any of those. I am concerned about the location we will end up with since there are so many standards out of inventory. Had that room by the airport luggage check in once, by far the worst room on property. May just have to spend more time at the F&W :) Thanks for posting the info!

Yep, LOL, Got that 1st studio right off the elevator this time so noisy early this morning......but ok since so convenient!

Did they credit you some points, maybe the difference between a standard and BW room? As an owner at BWV I would never book a pool room. We either go with BW or Standard.

Just there. What is finsihed on all floors are the Village Green view rooms, the boardwalk view rooms, about half the pool/garden rooms around the main pool area (the ones you get to down the same hallway from the elevator that leads to the boardwalk view rooms), and the pool/garden view rooms in the Activity Lawn area. As to all the rooms you get to off the elevator by going down the hallway that leads to the standard views, only the 5th floor is finished and they are working on the fourth floor. That includes the standard view rooms, half the main pool area rooms, and the quiet pool view rooms.

The points are the same for BW View or Garden/Pool View so there is no justification to be credited points back for a change.

I know that the points are the same, but I would not book a garden view for the number of points required. The fact that they are the same number of points is a whole different discussion. I would either book a standard for less or BW.

If you book and pay for a BW view and do not receive one, there should be compensation. If they have two different room categories, they are clearly different.

Ok thanks, that makes since to me now. I thought I read that all G/P view were completed which would put quiet pool view rooms in the middle of the construction zone as they finished the standard views across the hall.

Sounds like they are in the standard wing. We were there a month ago and stayed in a standard room on the 5th floor. The 5th floor was the only standard rooms refurbed then. Reading they are on the 4h standard floor or just finished. We arrive this Friday and have a standard studio. I'll report back. Sounds like a noisy trip.

A month ago and back this Friday, I am jealous! Thanks, looking forward to your update.

It's a little noisy, just a little tap tap tap and far-off drilling kind of sound, but nothing until after 9am here. I think it's minimal for what they are doing.

I do have a question. We were in a 2bedrm standard in June on the 5th floor and it had 2 chairs at the table. Last week we had a dedicated studio with Boardwalk view, and no chairs for the table.....but it did have a chair in the corner that was more like a living room chair. Is that the new set up now?

By two chairs at the table, i assume you are referring to the studio part of the 2BR. The refurbished lock-off studios have two chairs for the table attached to the wall unit beneath the television. The dedicated studio has that large chair in the corner because there is no door to the 1BR in the dedicated.

There should be chairs for the pull up table. If not - well then they aren't doing very well in completing their punch lists finishing the rooms!
