Rooms available during Food & Wine

Why are there BWV rooms available on Disney's website for paid stays in October but, all the DVC rooms are booked? Shouldn't us DVC members who want to rent with points have preference over others who pay cash. I thought that was the point of the DVC rooms! I need to book a room at the Boardwalk starting on Oct. 12 and I'm sure Member Services will tell me they are all booked...

I have been waitlisted there for a while now. We have OKW, which we will be very happy with, but with F&W, we would prefer BWV or BCV. Called ms today to check on the list and was told that it will be very unlikely to come through. I will call tomorrow and mention that they are advertising rooms available. Where did you see this?

DVC's room inventory and CRO's room inventory are separate. When a member trades out, for example a cruise, a room goes to CRO to pay for it. DVC also owns some rooms that they rent out through CRO. So it's possible for CRO to have inventory but DVC not.

I just booked at AKV for the 12th & 13th. I don't think its very likely that they will have anything at BWV. I had to call a few times to get that. But there is always a shot. But like Debbie said. They are two different inventory

They can't book the same room twice on points. When the member used points for the DCL or other Disney trip, that used up whatever rooms would have been taken for those points (and those DCL trips use up a lot of points). Disney needs to sell those rooms to get the money to pay DCL for the members trade.

So you can't book the room twice on points.
