Just made my ressies for our December trip. Even though the VWL is our home resort, this will be the first time we will be staying there.

Are all two bedrooms dedicated? Or are any of them a one bedroom / studio combo?

We have stayed in a 2 bdr a couple of times and both have been a 1bdr/studio combination. I did request a lock off for both of the reservations, so I don't know if they also have a dedicated 2 bdr.

No, not all of the 2 bdrooms are dedicated, I think most of the 2 bdrooms at VWl are lock-off units.

If you want a dedicated unit, you should request it with your reservation. I have young kids (both boys) and I perfer the dedicated unit, since my kids would find it a little to exciting to have thier own outside door.

I am sure you will love VWL. We own at OKW but stayed at VWL for our first trip as DVC owners. VWL is amazing....we just love the resort

I was looking at those room reports and I think 4533 at VWL is listed wrong. I'm positive it's a lockoff and not a dedicated studio. It's the one without a balcony. But when we had it, I remember it having a connecting door to a one bedroom. Unless my memory is failing me?

Is it the dedicated 2 bedrooms that have 2 beds in the 2nd bedroom (wow that's a little repetitive)? I just made my ressie's and will call back to request the type of unit that has 2 beds - no one wants to sleep on the couch. Isn't the studio the one with a bed and a couch? I just want to make sure before I call MS back. Anything else I should request?

Littlestar, you are correct. We had this 2 bedroom in December 2003. It has no balcony on the studio side, but it does have a balcony in the living room and master of the 1 bedroom side. I told Sandy about it once. My personal opinion is that they just messed up on this room. If it followed the configuration on the other floors, than the plan on this particular room would have been reversed. Meaning , as you are walking down the hall the 1 bedroom door, then followed by the studio door. My feeling is when they were constructing this room, somebody just installed some things (framed walls, electical,..JMHO) and they were stuck with reversing the plan to make it work. Thus, the studio ended up without a balcony. I could be totally wrong, but its just my guess. I do think its the only one that is reversed this way. The rest of the hall seems to follow Sandy's layout.

Thanks for the replies. When we made the ressies we did ask for a dedicated two bedroom. Thw CM didn't seem to be paying attention and kind of ignored the request. I started to think that maybe ALL the two bedrooms in the VWL are that way. I'll call back and add the request again.

I am currently sitting in room 4533 at VWL. It is most definitely a lockoff.
