Hi all, I actually have 2 questions.
1. Do all handicap accessible rooms only have king size beds? We are staying at pop in nov/dec and will need 2 rooms with doubles, 1 which needs to be HA.

2. What documentation do we need to bring to get the fee waived for the fridge? My mom is a diabetic and need one for her insulin. Thanks.

I can't help you with the bed question, but as for the fridge I know that one. You do not need to bring anything and even if you did they are not allowed to look at notes from doctors ( or at least thats what they told us because of HIPPA laws) Just tell them when booking it that it is for medication. When you check in at POP you will more than likely have to remind them that you have a fridge. Be sure to again let them know it's for medication and they will waive the fee. We have never had a problem with this, but some people have said to double check your bill at the end of your stay to make sure you did not get charged.

I'm one of those who say check your bill at the end of your stay. We've had the fridge show up on our bill even though we arrange for the fridge due to medical need right when we book our room plus have to remind them to bring the fridge (again, reminding of the note of medical need) when we check in. They do take it off without question and it only takes a few minutes, but we have had to make that call.

I have no experience with accessible rooms so I can't help you on that one.

Some of the rooms at Pop that are accessible have two doubles- make sure you let the booking agent know if you need a roll in shower room OR if you just need an accessible room with rails for the tub- both come with a raised toilet seat so it's mainly the tub/shower issue that you need to specify. Since there are no longer fridges in the accessible rooms they will deliver one to you. It could be a compact fridge ( like a dorm fridge) or a smaller one. I had one friend tell me that fridges were not available when she checked in and they arranged for her meds to be stored behind the front desk area. She wasn't pleased, but apparently all the fridges had been reserved or in use by other guests.---Kathy
