roomates? HELP

I moved, my old roomate got engaged and it wasnt working out so well. Well I rented a place that I can afford on my own but am looking at getting a roomate to lessen expenses (so I have more to pay off my debt). Any advice or sites or things I need to think of? My last roomate was my best friend of over 14 years so we didnt need rules or anything.

What about local colleges & universities? Don't they have a place for these postings? You can start out seeing if anyone has a post up that they want a place to rent. Then if you can't find any you can post your own.

Have you visited any to see if they have the old fashioned bulletin boards? Do they still use them? I have no idea.
