1)The person I spoke with understands the medical necessity and confirmed it as an absolute
2)You may not know absolutely everything
3)Like the fact that you left out the number three
1) I assign and reassign rooms almost every day at The Concierge Desk . . .
It is part of my job.
2 And, yes, people say they were "promised" by the reservation agent.
. . . some were promised suites (yes, even expensive multi-bedroom SUITES are not guaranteed)
. . . some were promised specific views
. . . some were promised bunk-bed rooms
. . . some were promised cots or rollaway beds
. . . some were promised King Rooms
. . . some were promised handicapped rooms
3)
But, reservation agents DO NOT have control over room assignments.
. . . regardless whatever they tell you
. . . regardless even what is written on your confirmation !
4) Some reasons your room request is not honored
. . . the room might be assigned/reassigned to someone else
. . . the room might be given to a VIP (Level-1 or Level-2 VIP's can frequently get their rooms changed, but usually not Level-3 VIP's)
. . . the room may have mechanical or sanitary problems
. . . the room might be part of a resort rehab
. . . the room might become part of a group event and be blocked out solely for that group (eg. conventions, weddings)
. . . the room might not have been cleaned due to low Housekeeping staffing that day (eg. absenteeism, tardiness)
. . . the room is occupied and WDW hasn't evicted the current guests (
by law, Florida does not allow guests to overstay their ressie)
. . . larger families can get priority for pull-down-bed rooms over smaller families
REPEAT: NO ROOM STYLE OR TYPE IS GUARANTEED.
NOTE:
Not trying to ruin your vacation or make you stressed.
But, getting out the room-reservation facts are important.
What would you say if you got to the resort and did not get the desired room style?
We do try to make it right, but sometimes it simply does not work out.
