Just wondering what people have found to be better. The park view or the DTD view, where some reviews say you can watch the fireworks from your room?

Thanks heaps :)

We prefer the DtD to do people watching and see the fire works.

My opinion is that the DCA room views are not that great.

We had a suite once at the end of the building 5, and had a good view of the Condor flats area, but it wasn't all that great.

The musicians playing in DtD and selling their DVDs are a bit loud but they stop at 10pm.

We could see the fireworks from our DTD view with no problem and I really enjoy the people watching and the night music.

You will enjoy the DTD view. We often tire out before the fireworks, but with these DTD view rooms, you can watch the fireworks in your pajamas off of your balcony! And then hop right into bed for those sweet Disney dreams!:cloud9:

Here is the view from the room at night.

As an FYI - We were in one of the new DVC Grand Villas on the 4th and 5th floor on Sunday night and the fireworks view was nice. Most of the pool view rooms on that wing will be able to see fireworks if you are on the 4-6th floors.

Another vote for the DTD view! I like to sit on the balcony in the morning with my coffee watching the parks "wake up" and love seeing the fireworks from the room.

Great photo Blackjackdelta!

Thanks, it was a nice room to stay in for the view alone.

Are you able to see the fireworks from all of the rooms overlooking DTD? I just upgraded to this type of room and was wondering if I should request any certain room?

I wish I could answer your question. We requested a fireworks view when we made the ressie and you can see what we go, but i am not sure all will have a "clear" view. I think we just lucked out. I hope our view from the Villas will be just as good. Good luck.

Daytime view.

For the best view of the fireworks, request a room over the "World of Disney" store (this is hotel building #5).

My general thoughts GCH
1. The fireworks sound track is broadcast on one of the tv channels (somewhere around channel 45)
2. You can hear the Jungle Cruise skippers shooting their guns.
3. There are stairs in the end of building 5 which put you close to the bag check area and saves a lot of walking. Not recommended if you have a stroller (you have to fold it up and carry it down the stairs)
4. I go get breakfast at White water snacks and bring it back to the room.
This saves a lot of money over room service.
5. The self park - parking lot is directly across the street from the Grand and it is faster to get your car when you leave. There is usually a line of guests leaving and waiting for the valets to get their cars. It also saves $17 per day. (I perfer the self park, who wants to wait in another line, just to get your car)

I had a downtown disney view once and although it was nice being able to see the fireworks and all the downtown activity, I found that the music from downtown disney was too loud. Even with my sliding glass door closed I could hear the music and it played everyday from around noon until 10 or 11pm.

We were so tired at night, unless the building moved we would have never known it. I could barely hear Drew Tretick play the electric violin thru the glass sliders, could hear nothing else.

Are the Villa views different? I requested a theme park view for this June. We are staying in a 2 bedroom. :cloud9:

From what I understand, it is either a park view or the pool view. Some say that the pool view gets you a good view of the fireworks, I would rather not be on the 1st or second floor, we will see.
