Forgive me if I have already asked this question before...
Are the points (per night per room) shown in the Disney literature and via the calc on this site all-inclusive? Is the room tax included? Meaning, If I book a room at a Disney resort for $100 per night, I need to tack on an additional 12.5% for resort taxes. Does any equivalent exist within DVC? Or is all of that factored into the point costs such that you don't ever see it split out?
Thanks - Me and the DW are closer than ever to pulling the trigger and buying in.

There is no tax for a DVC room on points. That's why we bought. I hate paying taxes. :lmao:

When you buy into DVC, you become a part-owner of that property. You are not a renter and not subject to the local hotel/motel taxes. You are subject to the property taxes however. These are included in the maintenance fees that DVC members pay.

It's timeshare OWNERSHIP, so no taxes other than property taxes involved. Those are paid with your maintenance fees, but they are seperated out so you can use them for a deduction on your income taxes. I wouldn't let that be a big deciding factor in purchasing, since it is quite minimal.
