Room switch at Disneyland hotel?

We're staying at Disneyland hotel in June. The 1 bedroom suite isn't available for all 3 of our nights, so we'd start our stay in a premium room and then move to the 1 bedroom suite for the last 2 nights. What is the process for changing rooms?

Drop off luggage at bell service and then pick it up when we get a text that our new room is ready?

Do we need to check out and then in again or would it be automatic?

It is sort of automatic. Just drop your luggage with bell services (we call for bell services to come), then check in to the new room (you will need new keys), and when notified room is ready, either pick up bags, or call and have bags delivered.

Thank you! Hopefully the suite opens up for our dates but it's good to know switching rooms is pretty easy.
