Anyone have any room suggestions that are not impacted by the construction going on at BWV? We are going on our first trip home at the end of April, have ressies for a 2BR standard view, and would like to have a nice view.

Do any of the standard views show Epcot? It would be nice to see the fireworks at night.

We just got back from DW today. We stayed at OKW but our DD and family had 2 studios at BWV. Rooms 4053 and 4055. Both had wonderful views looking down the BW toward the ESPN club and the Epcot ball was in plain view. Don't know about the fireworks.
I was surprised to see so much of the BWV shut down(all BW view) due to construction of some type. I would say the BW views will be few.
Good luck.

Standard views overlook the entrance at BWV, so I don't think you will have to worry about any construction in that area. We found that we could see the Illuminations fireworks better from the upper floors, so that is what we usually request. And if your standard room is further down the hall, away from the elevators, you will have a better view of the fireworks, as the Boardwalk Inn doesn't block your view.
Have a great trip!

Last week we were in a studio room (3111) and had a great view of the fireworks. Yes, it was far from the elevators, but not nearly as much traffic on that end.

slp87,

We had that same room along with 3109 a few weeks back. I agree, the view was great. We sat on the balcony on two different nights watching the whole show. I would rather be far down the hall for the view, instead of near the elevator.

Too funny!! Something else I forgot to mention is that the building moves away from the driveway and you have a nice view of the grounds and pond. My parents were in room 3071 in the first group from the elevators. Their view was of the unloading area, which they didn't mind because they like people watching, but they could not see any of the fireworks.

Thanks for the replies, but I am a little confused. According to the resort map in the guidebook, it appears that the Inn side of the resort is what overlooks Epcot. From what I can tell, it appears that the only BWV rooms that can "see" epcot are the ones that overlook the BoardWalk itself.

Amu I missing something here?

Some of the standard view rooms are actually facing Epcot as well and you can see the fireworks over the top of the Inn side. You cannot actually see Epcot or any of the ground level fireworks.

We were in standard view 3121 in December (dedicated 1 BR), on the end corner overlooking the pond. We could see the Eifel Tower of France over the inn roof to the left and the top of the American Pavillion was straight ahead. We could see the fireworks fairly well, except for a big tree in the middle. We could also hear the music of Illuminations and Tapestry of Dreams.
