Room Set Ups

For 8-06 I hope to get a OKW GV. I know that there are a limited number. Is it possible to get a 2 bed dedicated and a studio that can be accessed without going into the hallway? My other thought is to try a 2 bed lock-off and a studio. Again, can this set up be accessed without hallway use?

The above options can also apply to any DVC properties. I am thinking last week August,06 Sun. to Fri. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

The 2nd studio will have to be accessed through a hallway door. The 2 bedroom lockoff is a 1bedroom plus a studio. There are no one bedrooms at OKW (or at any DVC resort that I know of) that connect to more than one studio.

Chuck, Thanks for the quick response. One final question. What are the chances of getting a GV at OKW for the dates I listed on my thread? I have to work with a 7 month ressie. Thanks.

It really just depends on demand. I haven't tried booking a GV, we never had a large enough party going to warrant that much space. Certainly call Member Services right at the 7 month window.

OKW is my home resort so I booked a GV the first couple of nights of my Nov '05 stay at 11 month window and then , just a few months before the trip, i was able to add another night (our plans changed slightly). Seems OKW and SSR may have better availability of GVs at 7 months than other DVC properties. We LOVE OKW and the GV was absolutley incredible! But if I were you, I would book wherever/whatever you can at 11 month window and then switch to OKW if available at 7 months. The "bird in the hand" thing...

There are 27 GVs at OKW. I would think August would be a catch as catch can, but probably easier than some other times of the year for a GV at the 7 month mark.

As for the dedicated 2 bedroom and the studio... They would either be on opposite ends of the building or on different floors or both. There are no hallways at OKW. You access your room directly from the outside. The dedicated 2 bedroom units might or might not be next door to the lock off 2 bedrooms, depending on the building. The very best you could do would be a dedicated and another studio that would be seperated by the lock-off 1 bedroom portion. You can request them in the same building, but that would be about it. That being said, I think it would work out fine. We once had 2 2 bedroom units and requested them to be near each other. They were back to back in the same building, but you had to access them by different stairways. It worked out just fine.
