Are people still being offered gift cards for declining room service? We are staying at Sports after Thanksgiving and were hoping that was possible.

Seems to be, yes. $10 per night, minus one night of your stay. At least at the values. I've heard reports that higher resorts have a different amount, but haven't seen anything recently on that.

Currently all resorts participating are the same $10 per night. When they first started this test it was $25 per night for all involved. They're still gathering data.

What exactly can the gift card be used towards and when can it be used? I'd love to opt for that instead room cleaning when I stay at Pop.

Pretty much anywhere and for anything except the kiosks in the parks that only accept cash.

Took the offer at POP. Was given $40 for my five night stay (so $10 a night -10 for the night before check-out). Was a good deal since I was solo-not sure it'd be a great deal if my family had been with me.

My friend took it at Pop..... but they messed up once during her stay and did up their room anyway, in error, lol.

How do you go about getting the gift card? Do you have to go to the front desk at check in and request it?

Was recently at the Dream Castle hotel near Disneyland Paris and they had a little bag you put outside your room if you didn't want it made up that day or towels changed. When you came back, there would be a "treat". Got some L'Occitane lip balm and sweets for the one night we tried it. Think I'd prefer fresh towels given the humidity and number of showers taken if I was in Florida though!

Thats is a cool idea...if only they did that in the states.

When I see “Room Service “ I think food delivery to my room.
“Housekeeping/Mousekeeping” is room cleaning

We opted in at Pop in September. You get an ecard sent to you for the amount, which is $10.00 per night minus one night. The do collect towels and trash on the 3rd night and change the sheets on the 6th night. You can call and request shampoo, coffee, pillows, towels or anything else you may need.

If you call and request more coffee, toiletries, etc., do you have to pick it up at the front desk or do they drop it off in your room?
