Room Safes for Laptops

No. BCV does, and SSR will when it opens.

They are about 10X 8 is all. Maybe a small purse and wallet, but not much else.

i know the safes at bcv or bwv are not that big, just enough room for your cash and tooth brushes:teeth:

we bring our laptop all the time, we just leave it in its own laptop case or on the desk plugged in, never really thought much about it and never had a problem. if your worry i would stick it in your suitcase and put the suitcase in the closet.

If you are really worried, just get a cable lock and loop it around something not easily moved (like the entertainment center leg, etc.)

Also, the bottom of the underwear drawer works too.

Room safes are too small. Never leave anything of value in your room or in a car that is being valet parked.

Ditto

I actually bring two laptops, a switch and a few network cables. I share out the internet from one laptop to the other. I have a little network that I leave set up from the minute we arrive to the minute we leave.

I even have a cute little portable printer, it rechargable or you can leave it plugged in.

Rich, sounds like you have this down. What do you pick up the Internet with? Last time I was there (with a computer) it was all dial up and pretty expensive to. Have they added wifi or high speed? Just curious, I have to work a trade show in May and that would be helpful.

By the way I left my laptop out as well with no problems.

I was going to second the cable lock idea, Kensington makes one specific to laptops. Most have a Kensington cable lock attachment on the laptop. Then you can just bring in one of your tire rims and lock it to the tire rim or use a long chain and hook it to the defferential of your car. :scratchin

I like the locking up the toothbrushes idea, hadn't thought of that.

I bring a cable lock for peace of mind. While most people will tell you they left it out in the open with no problem, I don't want to be the 1 in a 100 who does. I loop it around the end table leg in the living room.

i think disney employees would risk alot to steal guest things, even if it is a laptop down to a handful of change.

and if your talking about someone else breaking in, i have a hard time with the plastic keycard getting into the room myself, now im not saying leave your wallet out with a wad of cash & cc either, yes i would be bummed if someone took my laptop but i would be distraut if my money & cc were gone and i would we have to end our trip early.

if i were to stay in another hotel or resort chain, well now your talking about another can of worms. no, no,no leave nothing out, chain everything to the defferential of your car!

Desperado i was told a story one time about lets just say a hotel room the guest toothbrush and the guest camera, when the guest got home and had his film developed, well ............

if i trust WDW with my laptop i trust them with my toothbrush, but no were else.

:teeth:
