Room/Resort for 5

we are planning a trip to Disney World in January of 2016, it is myself, my husband, our two kids (6 and 4) and my mom is coming along too. What room/ resort do you prefer for a party of five? Or would we be better off getting two rooms? We've stayed at Pop before, but looking to do something a little nicer this go round.

Have you considered renting DVC points? Last time we brought my mom, we rented DVC points and stayed in a 1 bedroom villa at AKL. It was DH and I, my mom, and our three kids (one was an infant at the time). It was great to have the extra space and we were in Kidani so we also had a second bathroom.

I've got a family of 5 also. We've stayed comfortably at wilderness cabins, Contemporary, and our next stop will be AOA. With gram along you may be more comfortable using DVC points to get a second bath. But the new Poly studios have two bath as well. So many choices.... have fun choosing!

We were very comfortable with my mom and our two young boys at both AoA and AKL Kidani village. Big price difference between the 2 though.

Not true. The new Poly studios have two bathing areas ( a tub/shower combo and an separate walkin shower) but only 1 toilet.
We loved the Fort Wilderness Cabins. We loved having the living room area to relax in while the little ones slept or napped. Also having the full kitchen for breakfasts and snacks was great.

Thank you everyone! I think we've decided on an AoA Family Suite. The two bathrooms is a great benefit and the kids will love the theming of that resort. 132 days to go!!!!

We are looking at staying at POR in the AB section. I think we will have 4 adults, DD1, and DD2 (who will sleep in a pack n play.) DD1 will be 5 and should fit perfectly on the pull down murphy bed.
