I booked my next trip with a AAA travel agent (who is great) and was wondering about a few things. I have some room preferences and was wondering if I need to ask my agent to add these to the reservations or do I need to call Disney directly? What I mean is that I want a non-smoking room, then would like to request a certain building at one resort and a certain room at the other. I know nothing is definite, but would like to get these into the reservation ahead of time. I'm used to doing everything in pieces, so using an agent and booking a package is a little new to me. Usually I'll fax room preferences to the resort ahead of time, then call the resort 4 days out to confirm the preferences. Can I do this if an travel agent booked the trip or does the agent need to do this?

Yes, unfortunately you have to go through them for everything. One of the downfalls of going through an agent. Although ours is excellent I feel a bit out of control. Must be the obsessive compulsive side of me LOL!
