Room Requests Questions

Hi everyone.

1) When doing online check-in does only choosing one request, instead of two, better your chances? The only option we really care about is "Near Transportation". If it betters our chances of getting this request, I won't choose a second one. If not, I guess I'll choose a view or floor.

2) Is it better to make phone requests now (60 days out) or closer to our arrival?

1. If close to transportation is all you care about, then just request that. Making requests during online check in there's no way to prioritize them like you can when phoning them in. So if you also choose ground floor if there's no ground floor rooms close to transportation you may end up far from it. And the room assigner will think they were doing good by at least granting one of your requests. Which is why I prefer to make our requests with the phone CM when we book.

2. You can make requests via phone any time from the day you book up until 4-5 days out. Rooms are assigned 2-3 days before arrival so just make sure there in well before then.

Depending on the resort, sometimes you have to book a preferred room in order to be near transportation. If you really want near transportation, and if you are able to book a preferred room location, do so. You shouldn't, for example, request near transportation if you have booked at a value resort and only paid for a standard room location.
