Is it worth requesting a specific building or not? If so, have we left it too late? Would like to be reasonably near a pool and a bus stop, and not too far from the main pool.

Wayne may be along soon and let you know
He is enquiring about booking four groups of us close together at OKW
2 families will be arriving in 2 weeks time (myself & burt)
Wayne & relatives will be joining us a few days later
Last year we were in building 21 on Millers Road, this has a bus stop, laundry & quiet pool very close by.

I have been reading the main boards this evening, seems like its best waiting til no more than 10 days before check in. Will read up a bit more.

Anyone else like to offer advice?

I put a request on my booking for a high floor, near pool preferably Turtle Pond. But I am not too worried if I don't get it! On my confirmation the high floor request is listed. I would mark requests on booking then call 10 days out. I would also try ringing the resort - can't hurt.

What a fun building full of uk Disers!! Hope that works out :)

I fax in a request 4 days before as apparently that is when they start room allocations, so far we have always gotten what we asked for :goodvibes

yes, supposedly, the reservations are sent to the resorts 5 days in advance, so within that 5 day slot is when they start to assign rooms...

personally i like one of two spots, depending on my mood..

if i want total seclusion, i ask for building 55 - it's really quiet, with a river view and far from any roads... and has a quiet pool as well...

alternatively, if i want to be near the main pool - and there's something to be said for that - then i ask for building 13, 12 or 11 (in that order)...
they're quiet (no road noise) and near the main pool....

but that's me...everyone has different preferences..

I stayed at OKW this past May, I requested building 40 over the phone and also with an email 5 days before we were due to check it, I was told they would do there best and im happy to say when we checked in our room was in building 40 :thumbsup2

Sadly I think they have all been done. Hopefully they will have finished the snagging by now too!

I usually ask to be near hospitality house - that gets 11-14 or 23-27 (I think). Easy ealk to bus stop, olivias or main pool. Last buildings give you a choice on bus stops- the first and last.

I just rang wdw (who we booked with) last year and asked them to note a room request - asked for turtle pond area, upper floor and was accomodated on both requests.

We were block 42.

Turtle pond pool was great for smaller children - lots of 3ft areas and there was a snack bar for drink refills.
