room requests -- cypress pointe?

For those of you who have stayed at CP.... how far in advance to you forward your requests? And, what is the contact info (ie. do you phone direct, or e-mail)? I booked through Hotel Kingdom, so I don't think they're supposed to get your reservations until a few days before ?!?

I call the Cypress Point number and ask for Front Desk and give them my request. I found the number on the CP website.

Given I booked with HotelKingdom.com, how far in advance is it appropriate to make requests?

I also book through Hotelkingdom and call about a week before I go. I have stayed there 3 times and have gotten my request twice. I only ask for first floor. My knees do not like the steps!
