I know this question has been asked before but I'm having trouble finding the thread -

We are planning to take our extended family to VWL in December 2003 (our first trip home - yippee!). We will be requesting several two bedrooms and then either a one-bedroom or studio. Is there any particular rooms/views that we should request? I know we will be happy with anything, but since we are taking our family, I would like it to be perfect!!!!

Thanks!:Pinkbounc

TXFamily...wow, several two bedrooms and a 1BR or studio? That's a bunch of folks...sounds like a great family trip!!

First of all, I'm not sure that you will be able to get all the accommodations near each other...the good news being that VWL is not all that large of a resort.

Room requests? Well, I'd suggest always starting with your smoking preference. Then it depends on what you like most? If there are elderly members of the family coming or those who have trouble walking, you might request something near the elevators. Some people like to be high up on the upper floors. Some people like the quiet pool view (and part of Bay Lake).

So it really depends on your preferences.

One other thing...you might consider calling day by day with the ressies. December is a very high demand month and since you're asking for so many accommodations, I'd suggest calling each day.

Thanks for the help Granny. We are actually banking our 2002 points and borrowing our 2004 points to try and get all of the rooms. The point values are great in December and I was very surprised when I realized we would be able to get all of these rooms for the amount of points we own.

I'm planning on calling day by day, so I hope I can pull this off! I think it will be a great trip if we can do this! Thanks again.

I would recommend putting down as a special request to NOT be in a handicapped accessible room. Especially if you want a bathtub. We were stuck with one one time at WL when we checked in very late and that was all that was available....after all a room is a room!
