Does anyone have any advice/experience re: room requests at DLH? Not sure which tower is "better": I would love a pool or park view, of course, but am only paying for a standard view, the price differnce was pretty steep. I definitely want to be up high. I know we are going during a busy time, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask, right? Do they accept requests, and are they usually granted? Which towers/rooms are "closest" to DTD?
Also, are all three towers connected in some way, or would you have to go outside to go from a particular tower to the lobby??

Well it depends on when youre going. Im going to the DLH in October and I also paid for a standard room. But I called the hotel and requested a non parking lot view. They said they would put it down on my reservation. so we'll see.

Sierra tower offers a lovely standard view of the Neverland Pool and borders DTD, so DTD is just a few steps from the tower. The towers are not connected they are separate buildings so you have to go outside to reach the lobby. The most isolated tower is the Bonita Tower.

If its not busy, they usually can handle your request. The three times we stayed there (2 at DLH and 1 at GCH) we paid standard view but each time we got the view of our choice. The first time we stayed at DLH we had a view of DTD. The second time we stayed at DLH, we got a high corner room (no extra charge) facing DTD. And lastly when we stayed at GCH, we got a view of CA. I would put the request in but dont' forget to ask when you check in.

It defintely doesn't hurt to have them mark your room request on your reservation. We haven't had much luck in getting upgrades. We've stayed onsite with a standard/cityview price 3 times and have only been upgraded once when we did concierge. We stayed in the Bonita Tower facing the parking lot when we stayed at DLH. The view was terrible, but it was a lovely walk by the waterfalls to get to our room.
