I know nothing is guaranteed and it's just a request, but I'm so confused as to what room(s) to request for my 1-bedroom ocean view villa in August. How far in advance can we request and how do we request it? The 10 day online check in seems not far enough in advance for a request.

June 2014 my family and I stay at Aulani 2 bedroom. The view you get is basic upon how many points used so if you pay for ocean view you will get it. The more advance notices you give the better options you have. We stayed in garden view on the top floor and the views were amazing.

I know I'll get ocean view because I booked ocean view, just was curious at what point do I request specific floors or towers to make sure i get my money's worth :smooth:

The Aulani Villas and Views thread has maps showing the location of all the villas by view category. Many of the villas also have photos showing the views from the balconies, so you can get an idea of what you'll see from the different parts of the resort.

You can make your request right now directly to Member Services. In fact, I would advise that you not wait until you can do the Online check-in because it does not allow you to be very specific with your request. You can call Member services, but I recommend you send an email instead. Just sign in to the Members website and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page where you'll see a "Contact Us" link. Click on the link to get a dialogue box so that you can send an email to MS. It helps if you include your reservation confirmation #, type of villa you have booked, and dates of your stay.

We just booked an Ocean View studio at Aulani for next February and I sent an email to MS requesting a villa that offers a sunset view and overlooks Aulani's Waikolohe Valley, which is the home to the main pool and lazy river. I try not to make my requests too specific, so I requested a High Floor & villa room number ending in xx72, xx78, or xx84.

We too have an ocean view studio booked and I've emailed a request for a room ending in either 04 or 10, based on the Aulani views thread here

Thanks! That's the info I was looking for....guess I'll be doing some homework tonight. We have a one BR OV, and I would prefer a long balcony rather than 2 smaller ones, and want a good view of the ocean. does anyone want to point me in that direction? :listen::p I'm already figuring out I want Ewa building and a high floor. Do I need to be more specific than that?

Oooh, another question, when I put in my request to member services, should I assume my 1 BR OV is half of a 2-BR lockoff? Are there no dedicated 1 BR at Aulani?

We were just at Aulani at the end of January in a one bedroom OV, and our view was perfect with a long balcony! I added one photo below. I need to add it to the views page too. I can't remember the building name, but it was on the same side as Aunty's. We think it was 1658, top floor. We just requested a room on the highest floor possible. We really lucked out!

There are no dedicated one-bedroom villas at Aulani. All one-bedroom villas are part of two-bedroom lockoffs.

We absolutely love the view from our ocean view studio room 1510. I posted pictures for the Aulani room view thread.
