Room Requests at AKV - Kidani

So how would one go about requesting a room at AKV - Kidani? We are staying using my in-laws DVC in late April. Would he need to call? Can I call? Email? What is the best way to request? How far in advance should we try? We would like to be on the side closest to Jambo as we would most likely like to walk over there for food, etc., at least a couple of times. Plus we will have a rental car and from the resort maps, it looks like parking is on that side. I know no request is guaranteed, but if I gave my dad-in-law a list of say 80 rooms that would work for us (7312-7352 and 7412-7452) would that work? Or is that TOO specific and should I just say - the side of resort closest to Jambo, not too close to the lobby?

And another question, are the rooms that begin with 72** on the first floor? There does not appear to be rooms that begin with 71**. Which would make 73** 2nd floor, and 74** 3rd floor?

The owner of the points needs to make the request. Request by section not by room numbers IE Pumba. Parking is underneath the buildings at Kidani and driving will be your fastest way to Jambo as you would need to walk through the parking lot you see as that is the Jambo side parking lot...the walk is not that bad but in the heat and after eating in the heat... you will not be happy about not using the car...

The entire Kidani Building is DVC units.

Kidani is all DVC and studios are located throughout the entire building. At Jambo, DVC is just the 5th and 6th floor with 6th floor being club level.

Thanks for your reply. I will get things in order and have my FIL call at some point. Is there a map somewhere that shows the sections? I've only seen maps that list room numbers and names of the savannahs.

I will keep in mind that the walk might not be great if it's hot/humid. I had heard it was only like a 5-7 minute walk over, but maybe that's only to the "edge" of Jambo and you still have to get to the restaurants, etc.

At kidani are specific DVC rooms scattered?
... I've been on the fence about a studio
If it's in the furthest corner of the resort.
Did 2, 2 bedroom villas last time and the rooms were centrally located..

Any suggestions to be near/close to center area of building... closest to bus out front??
