Room requests and online check in?

Where do you call do make room requests? We are at Wilderness Lodge in July, and have a nature view booked. I would love to have any piece of a view of MK. I know it may not be likely, but I'd like to call and ask. As this is our 3rd trip with our children, they are now 13 and 14, and we do want to visit other places before they are off and on their own...this may be our last time to take them to WDW as kids.

For cash reservations booked through Disney, the guest should call the Disney resort reservations line. For DVC points bookings, the DVC owner has to call Member Services to submit requests.

Can I ask where you call? Directly to the resort? We are DVC and I made the request through member services. Just did online check in and there was no place to add requests. So I assumed it was because I already placed requests through member services.

I called the resort directly. At least the number I thought was the resort directly from searching for it. Calling the main Disney World number is too slow.

Actually, the resort reservations number the previous poster mentioned I believe is who I actually called.
