Using the online check-in tool, I think the options available for
DVC reservations are pretty much the same as those for cash reservations. However, a difference for DVC members is that we can call Member Services in advance and give them our preferences over the phone. These can be more-detailed than what the online check-in allows, and you're not limited to picking just a few.
For example, my preferences for a recent stay at SSR were:
Paddock Section
Near the Pool
High Floor
Even-numbered room
Not a handicap accessible room
