Maybe someone with past experience could help me. I would like to request a specific building and near the bus stop and also a first floor.
Is it better to contact member services for these request. I would like to do online check in and would these request be listed on my reservation. Please tell me what my best move would be.
The last time non of our reservation request where honored

It is better to make DVC requests through MS and then ignore the online choices (important to do it that way because using the online choices can wipe out your choices given to MS beforehand). The online choices are more limited than ones you can make through MS. For example, you will not be able to request a specific building or first floor while doing online check-in although you may be able to request near transportation.

Regardless of which you do, you risk not getting your requests. Also, the more narrow the request, the greater the risk of not getting it. For example requesting first floor of a specific building is a narrow request that has a much higher risk of not being honored than just asking for a room in some general area. Moreover, the order you use to give requests to MS will be used to see if they can be met, e.g., if you request a specific building and first floor, in that order, they will give you the specific building if available even if they cannot meet the first floor request. In other words, if first floor is most important, that should be your first request.

I agree, we always call to make them, but sometimes will email them. Make sure you put the most important one first, because often that is all I ever get, and sometimes I get none. Our last trip last month, I requested high floor, far from lobby. I got high floor, near lobby (BWV). Then moved to BLT and got none of my request. I asked for high floor, north side and got ground floor, south side. This is typical for me, sadly. I keep making request. Good luck.

^ Which raises another issue to be aware of. If you make a location request and it cannot be met, they then just put you in any available area and do not try to find something close to what you requested, a factor to consider when choosing how narrow a location request you want to make.
