Room Request question

I've asked about Boardwalk Standard View before and I've been looking at my options on the touring plans site - never did this before but I saw some really nice "Standard" rooms that have a partial view of the Yacht Club - Not sure if you can hear the Friendship boats from the rooms but i'd actually love that! Anyway, how do I get my requests to the Boardwalk? I've read that you can fax it but to what number? Do I just include my reservation number/name and my request? I'm guessing that's it. I know nothing is a guarantee but it can't hurt to try. I called before and left a request with reservations and she was hesitant on adding it as she thought it was not an option due to room category (this was when I was staying that the Yacht Club) but she added it and it was worked. I'm not sure I want to go through that again so I might try the fax option.

Suggestions? Tips?

If you have a membership with Touring Plans they will do it for you. We did this for the first time for our 2015 trip and got the exact room number we requested. I don't plan on that happening every time, but TP did a great job getting the info to the resort! We stayed at POFQ
I believe they send it 4-7 days before check-in.

The BEST way is to call the main reservations line and add it there. I know you don't want to do that, but that is what is most likely to work. I have used the TP fax request to no avail. You should do it now, as the reservations go directly to the hotel about 5 days in advance and the room assigners begin then

I agree. I honestly do not understand why you do not want to go through that, because it is the best way to have that request seen. I would not wait, no matter which direction you decide is best, you need to get it done before teh assigners begin.

I'll call tonight and see if they will add my request. I agree it's the easiest thing to do. I was trying to avoid making a call but if it's the best way then I'll make the request by phone.

Yes Touring plans works for us at AoA this past November. We Plan on using it for our trip this August as well!

I'm covering all bases - have it on my reservation from when I called to change resorts AND am using the Touring Plans fax service.

Good luck! Just remember - requests are only that no matter how you put them in. Hopefully it will work out. But if not, don't let it ruin your vacation.
