Room request question

We will be transferring from CBR to AKL during our stay at WDW next month. What is the best way to handle a room request at AKL since I will already be on property? Should I ask a CM at CBR to fax in a request for me? Should I call AKL while at CBR or should I just stop in at AKL a few days before we are supposed to move and make a room request?

When already on site, I just called the next resort and asked to speak with the room assigner 2-3 days before we were due to check in. I was appropriately cheerful and respectful and it worked out great. Good luck!
