Room Request-is it worth it?

It’s funny how many different experiences there are when it comes to room requests. I also believe the resort you choose matters the most. In my 30 yrs of traveling to WDW the only resorts that consistently have granted my room requests is POR and YCBC. In fact with YCBC I have gotten my requests granted down to the specific room each time for the last 6 years. I always call one week before to make sure it is noted on my reservation. I have also never received a room ready text after 4pm. We travel during slow season in late Aug too so that may affect my luck as well…

In all my trips to Disney, over 30, I have never made a room request. I can tell you this, I've never been disappointed in my room's location - I guess I've had really good luck.
