We like making location requests by calling the central reservations number as well as doing online checkin. With Woods View there are lots of good room location options. We have found that we really enjoy having a room that opens to the lobby, despite the fact that we can hear some noise from WCC in the evenings. The view as you walk to / from the room is just so beautiful. Other people prefer a quieter location down one of the wings. The Woods view rooms in the North wing have balconies that face generally towards MK, so on the higher floors you may have a chance of seeing some of Wishes. Also Roaring Fork is in the North Wing, so it is fairly close from North Wing rooms. South wing woods view rooms are generally in a very quiet location, facing the West side of the Villas, above Cub's Den. These rooms have a relatively short walk to the bus stop area.
Being only 60 days from your trip, the construction should be pretty minimal, as they will only just be starting a longer expansion process. Eventually there will be work North of the North wing, so those rooms could be somewhat affected, but I don't expect it to be bad that soon. If you are concerned though, going with a lobby or South wing woods view room should keep you away from the construction.
