Room request for OKW

We are staying at OKW through an Interval exchange. We have a 1BR and check in on 9/27/03. We've never stayed at OKW before. Is there any particular area that is better than another. My parents will be with us and my dad has had knee replacement and doesn't move as quickly as he used to. Is there something closer to the bus stop? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

OKW is a huge resort. If you think you will be using the restaurant, store, marina for boat to DTD, etc., you might want to request a building close to the main hub of the resort. There are quite a few buildings that require either an internal bus, driving your car or a lengthly walk to get to the main hub of this resort.
Only 3 OKW buildings have elevators (these buildings are also located in the front of the resort), so either request a building with an elevator or a 1st floor villa. The buildings are 3 floors with outside staircases.
The only form of Disney transportation from OKW is bus to everywhere but DTD. There is a boat to DTD area but it runs limited hours from approx 12 noon to 10 PM and the boat has limited seating (10-12).
OKW is do able without a car but I find due to the location and size of this resort it is much easier to have a car when staying here. There are parking lots located in front of the majority of buildings so parking your car is convenient.

There is more than one bus stop, so you don't have to be in any particular location to be close to the bus stops - no location is very far from a bus stop. There is one pool at the Hospitality House, plus another pool with a snack bar. There are also several quiet pools.
