My daughter and I will be at DL in August and are staying at the Best Western PPI. I would appreciate any and all feedback on where to request a room, e.g. back of the hotel, overlooking the hotel, etc.

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

We stayed on the third floor (top floor) in the second building a little past the pool. It was quiet...we like the top floor...no thundering footsteps late at night!

Our last two trips we ended up overlooking the pool.
Even though we were there in the winter, it was so loud in the evening until they closed the pool.
So we have requested "away from the pool" this trip. ;)

A little OT, does anyone know where the King Room with sofa bed is located? It doesn't say it's a suite.

ITA. If you want any peace and quiet at all during the day, then you should absolutely request a room away from the pool. However, I loved that our window was not next to our door and instead looked out at the pool area. It meant people weren't walking past and seeing in. :) Plus we were right at the elevator which was handy, as we had a cooler to get from the car to the room, and then back when we left.

I agree about the elevator and the window, but the noise wasn't during the day. We were in bed! Both trips they were late closing the pool and we couldn't block the noise from the people doing cannonballs. :upsidedow I have a feeling we'll end up a long way from the elevator this time, but I guess you have to give up something for quiet.

We stayed in one of those rooms last year. We were on the 3rd floor, right at the stairs in the front of the lobby. It's a little way from the elevator, but when we didn't have the stroller it was nice to be by the stairs. It was a nice size room, but with 2 adults, 2 kids, and a baby, it was tight. Especially when you add all the extra stuff we brought with us. We weren't in the room very much though, so it didn't bother us too much! We are staying there again in about 6 weeks.

I would say:

1. Stay on the side opposite the Captain Kidd's restaurant
2. Stay on the 2nd or 3rd floor (too noisy at ground level)
3. Stay away from the pool

We just returned from a stay at BWPPI and this is exactly where our room was, but it was the suite (free upgrade, btw). It was super quiet and close. Our room was 274, second floor, second room from the front of the property. It was close to the office, and the crosswalk, maybe 50 steps.

It was a busy weekend too, because of the Tinkerbell Half Marathon. I don't think I ever heard another person our 3 night stay there.

I did a review of the BWPPI a couple days ago. We really enjoyed our stay there.

We are hopefull staying there too the last week of June (as long as Sedattle has no more snow days!!) the trip is booked through WDTC does anybody know with whom I make the requests from? Do I call the hotel direct or shall i call back to WDTC? Sound isn't an issue for us, what I want is close to the front as it is my DD14 and I alone and I don't want to be stuck at the back walking in the dark:scared1: she's not the scaredy-cat I am!! :rotfl2:

We stayed in a top floor room at the front, facing the street. We thought it would be noisy from the street but we had no complaints about noise. The beds were not queen size and too small for my complete comfort. Overall it was okay.
