Just returned from BCV. We spent 2 nights in a studio with a terrible view.No offense to anyone, we enjoyed everything else about our stay and are returning in April. :) What request should we make to avoid the same view type? It was a room which had a loooong narrow balcony that overlooked a very noisy highway. We were shocked when we stepped out there. We have seriously never had a worse view, including our stays in the values. Unfortunately, it really made the balcony unusable. Again, we still enjoyed the BCV's, so many positives, just trying to avoid this view. TIA

BCV doesn't have the greatest views. What room were you in? Many of the rooms that overlook Epcot Resorts Blvd. also have a view of Illuminations to make it a little nicer. Some hate the road view while others love the Illuminations view. :confused3 We had room 367? overlooking the road and we did hear the road noise in the early morning when we were not making our own noise. We also enjoyed watching Illuminations in our PJ's before bed.

Try looking at the views on http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/.

What a great site for BCV view info!

Do you know of other sites for the other DVC views?

Lisa, thank you. it was room 463. Yes, we probably could have seen Illuminations from the balcony, but we were in the parks at that time.

I had that view last May, but we were on the ground floor so no fireworks for us! It was horrible. I don't know why they don't put up a fence or lattice to block the road from the ground floor rooms. Good luck to you next time. I really enjoyed both the woods view and the pool view there.

DisZip, one of our DISers put that together. It's great isn't it! :lovestruc She mentioned doing one of VWL sometime... but there are none others that I know of.

I would love to see a floor plan of BWV and all DVC really. If anyone has the time to look in their closing documents from Disney, I had a floor plan of BCV, perhaps their is one of your resort. I live in NYS so that may make a difference in the paperwork.

This is why what someone else says is a great view isn't necessarily your "great view". When I first read your post, I was sure you had another room I reacted to the same way-very noisy road. However, just before I went to BCV, someone else reported what a beautiful view of Epcot it was (and it was, but I couldn't get past the noise of the road). If you don't care about seeing Illuminations, I like the courtyard view. Also, the woods view is my favorite-a peek of the Eifel tower and a great Illuminations view.

I agree the lower floors would not be good especially without the fireworks to sweeten it. I don't know if I would reject a road view room or not next time. (Not that you always have a choice !)

I agree, definition of bad views and good views change from person to person. We stayed in that exact room in November (actually my Mom did, we had room 465 next door) and I really enjoyed the view of Epcot and Illuminations from the room (could even see the MK fireworks pretty good as well). Could see a very large turtle swimming around in the water down below to the left each morning. However, I could get past the noise of the road, it really did not bother me (could not hear it with the doors closed, and could tune it out fairly easily when I read my book out on the balcony in the morning), but there was some sort of utility/fan/something on the floor above that definitely did bother me.

I think we were in that same room last Oct. We thought the view of Illuminations was awesome! We didn't find the road too noisy at all.

I would also add that a lot of what bothers people is what they're used to. I live in the country--deer in the yard, neighbors have cows sort of thing. Road noise drove me nuts when I had to travel to, say NYC and spend the night in a hotel there. But someone who is used to that type of background wouldn't even notice. In fact, my NYC vendor used to go nuts up here--the quiet was too "noisy"! But this will be important to me when I book my first BCV vacation--we just closed last week! That site given is very helpful in understanding what type of room might be best.

Wow. So there are only 15 handicap rooms at BCV (5 one bedrooms and 10 studios)? No wonder I couldn't get ressies this past December.

Well, as wonderful as BCV is for every other reason (location, SAB, the restaurants etc.), it has never been known for its spectacular views.

We have had a view of the quiet poll most of the times that we have stayed there, and I think that's a lovely view. I enjoy watching folks in the pool, the lights around the pool are pretty at night, and the more distant view of the canal thing in that area is also nice. Once when we stayed there we had a view of the wooded area that sits between the BC and Epcot...sort of along that walkway. That's a decent view too...lush and green, quiet...a few little animals visible at times.

To me, the worst view there is what they call the "Epcot view". It wouldn't be worth it to me to be able to see IllumiNations...since I am usually not in the room at that time anyway...to have to deal with the yukky road biew and noise.

View is important to some and not to others. One of the things I dislike about both BWV and BCV is that there view is too urban. It is also why I prefer the lake, golf course, and woods views at OKW. My point is that one person's great view and location might be another's worst nightmare. Preferances are a quite personal thing.

eeyoresmom, did you take any pictures of the view from this room - I would love to add them to my site.

DisZip, one of our DISers put that together. It's great isn't it! :lovestruc She mentioned doing one of VWL sometime... but there are none others that I know of.

Actually I'm a guy! I did start a VWL floorplan - but have yet to finish it.

This is awsome... :thumbsup2 hope the author is working on other sites.

Thanks!

I am not working on any floorplans other than the VWL. But if people have pictures of the views from other DVC resorts - with the room number, I would be happy to put together pages for the other resorts with the views.

Anyone, PM me if you have view photos you would like to share and I will pull them all together.
